Copy environment in AFAS Online
More control and more options

You will have different options in AFAS Online to copy an environment through General / Environment / Management / Copying. The function has been optimised.

The New button has been replaced by two new actions, that is, New requests (for all types of requests) and New support backup. You can authorise these buttons separately. This will, for example, ensure that you give specific managers in your organisation rights to the New support backup button but not the New request button. Only the Profit application manager gives you rights to New request so that the application manager has all types of requests.

Note:

These actions have not been authorised after you transferred to Profit 9. You must reauthorise them. This also applies for the actions describe below: Cancel (for all types of actions) and Cancel support backup.


Several actions simultaneously

If you want to perform several actions, you no longer have to wait until the current action has been completed before starting the new action. Multiple actions may therefore run simultaneously. Only if the action Restore backup as the replacement of the current environment is performed, you may receive the message that you must wait until the process has been completed.

Once the copy has been completed, you'll receive a confirmation via e-mail, provided your e-mail address has been recorded in Profit.

You can now also cancel current actions through the display. You also have two actions for this. They are: Cancel (for all action types) and Cancel support backup. You must also authorise these action buttons. When an action has been completed, you can no longer cancel it.

Environment name and description

Note:
These options may already be available in Profit, but you can use them once they have been released by AFAS.

You can specify the last two characters of your environment. Football club AZ may, for example, decide to copy environment O12345AA as test environment T12345AZ. The new name will be displayed where the environment type is taken into account: live environment (O12345AZ), test environment (T12345AZ) or accept environment (A12345AZ).

You can also specify the description. This means that an auditor may, for example, include the name of a customer in the environment description.

The name or the description cannot be changed in relation to the following actions:

  • 08 - Reservekopie terugzetten als vervanging van huidige omgeving
  • 09 - AFAS Support backup maken
  • 10 - Quality Center backup maken
  • 11 - Downloadlink aanvraag verwerken

Restore 'tomorrow's' backup

If you choose action 07 - Restore backup as a new environment or 08 - Restore backup as the replacement of the current environment, you could specify tomorrow as the backup date. This has changed. The highest possible data is now today's date.



Accountancy Lite 

As an Accountancy Lite customer, you can now also create an Accountancy Lite demo as a new environment.

Alert per email in different languages

You can sent email messages to employees or people outside your organisations such as purchasing and sales contact based on an alert. You can determine the description and contents of the email message yourself based on a message template. Several languages are also now being supported within this context. You can link a separate message template in the alert for each language (for Dutch, Flemish, German, English and French).

You determine whether you will send this per email and to whom in relation to the alert's destination. Next, you can link a message template for each language.


When email alerts, the language of the person is used (CRM / Organisation/person /  Organisation/person, Person tab). In relation to an email alert to an employee, for example, Profit will check the language that is set at the person linked to the employee. Ensure that the language is set here correctly.


Email to business or private address 

You now determine whether the email messages are sent to the business or private email address for each alert in the alert destination. This field will show the work email address if your environment is converting to Profit 9. 

New sign-on method

If a user signs on for the first time on the AFAS Online portal, a mobile telephone number will be suggested. If both the private and business numbers are defined in Profit (for the person), the private number was suggested. From now on, the business mobile number will be suggested in this situation.


PCC Command line

You can publish analyses on a local computer through the PCC command line. Now you can also filter based on financial administration within this context provided that the analysis includes the Administration field. You can also publish the social analysis and the complement analysis from Profit HRM.

To use this, you need to install the new version of the PCC on your system.


Management tool

You can add a tool tip with internal information in relation to custom fields. For example, the goal of the custom field, the department that uses this field, etc. You can now add a view and place the Tool tip field in the view. This is only meant as information for the Profit application administrator. The tool tips are not shown to user when the customer fields are filled.

Planned tasks

The descriptions in General / Management / Planned tasks have been changed. This ensures that it is easier to see to what the task is related to. The Process weeks description, for example, has been changed into Process actual costing for weeks.

Note:

Bear in mind that these descriptions are also used in views and in the sign-on view. Old tasks may be displayed using an old name while the new name is used for new tasks. Take this into account when consulting and filtering in these views.

Journalise new planned tasks

The journalising through Planned tasks has been expanded.

  • Journalise entries per integration type.
  • Generate sales invoices per sales contact profiles


Import custom table in several languages

You can define codes and descriptions in custom tables for each licensed language. You can now import codes and descriptions in these languages with the new General / Management / Import / Custom table (incl. translation) function. If the translations for a specific language are missing, the base language is used.


Note:

The following applies with regard to the authorisation. Users who have access to General / Management / Import / Custom table, will be given automatic access in Profit 9 to General / Management / Import / Custom table (incl. translation).


Translate profile names for Pocket

You can now translate the names of profiles into the languages supported by Profit. This means that you can, for example, give the profiles for a new claim or a new file item a translated name and this will also be used in AFAS Pocket.  





Connectors

FiEntries response with invoice number

Profit will return the invoice number in the InID field in relation to an insert through the UpdateConnector FiEntries (financial entries). Different situations are possible within this context depending on the use of automatic numbering based on invoice number or the user providing an invoice number.


Project invoice periods (FbInstalment)

You can now include a debtor through the DbID tag for each invoice period in the XML.

Calendar appointments (KnAppointment)

New UpdateConnector for adding, editing and deleting appointments in Profit Calendar.




BTW-tarif group

The VAT tarif group data collection is now available to create a GetConnector.

Tokens (app connector) per user

The App connector tokens tab has been added in the Authorisation tool in the user properties. This means that you can view all tokens (of all app connectors) for each user. You cannot add any tokens. This is only possible through the app connector. You can, however, delete tokens.
