You can build your own AFAS dashboards in Power BI and share them with your colleagues. In Profit 5, we had already made some dashboards available. We have now taken this a step further: you can add dashboards yourself through Profit in General / Output / Management / Dashboards. This can be done in two ways: you can copy an existing dashboard or you create a new dashboard based on a data source (a type of dataset). You can then set up all fields and links in a simple graphical view and publish the dashboard in the direction of Power BI.
About 15 new dashboards are included with Profit 6. These dashboards will not be available immediately since they will be delivered gradually.
We have a new RapportGenerator where user friendliness has the highest priority. The first reports have already been delivered. When you get started with the new RapportGenerator, you will immediately see that it is more user friendly than the old one. The new report designer enables easy translation of reports. Another advantage: the RapportGenerator can follow your corporate identity so reports automatically adopt the corporate identity font, colours and logo. You define the corporate identity once in the environment settings. If something changes in your corporate identity, make the change once. From then on, you will see the reports with the new corporate identity, for example, with your new logo or new colours.
You can continue to access reports as usual through the usual functions, such as Financial / Output / Report and HRM / Output / HRM report. When you open a 'new' report, a new viewer with a modern look and feel will, however, be displayed.
The old RapportGenerator will continue to work as normal. For now, the new RapportGenerator is not suitable for reports that you link in Profit for fixed report output. In other words, for invoices, course confirmations and payslips, for example, you would still use the old RapportGenerator.
You now manage your corporate identities centrally in Profit through General / Environment properties on the Corporate identity tab. We already use the corporate identities from Pocket and Profit, of course, could not be left behind. A corporate identity includes two default colours, a default font and logos. You can set one corporate identity as the default and that corporate identity can then continue to have an effect in the reports created with the new report designer. As a result, these reports therefore always have the correct layout even if you set a different corporate identity as default in the environment settings.
The corporate identities in the environment settings are now integrated with the corporate identities in Pocket. You always maintain the corporate identities per environment, but you decide in Pocket which corporate identity you want to apply for Pocket. If you had already created corporate identities for Pocket, these are automatically transferred as environment corporate identities. You do not have to do anything else for this: the corporate identities for Pocket will continue to work as usual.
It is now possible to add a repeating task within a control measure. This way, you automate recurring processes such as checks, reports and reminders. Set the task once, determine the frequency and let Profit do the work. Each task is automatically generated so you can focus on what really matters.
Get a grip on your control measures and automate the process!
The control framework has been expanded! Three default types of control frameworks have been added:
These new types already have the necessary requirements (at Information Security and Privacy (ISP) standard framework: standards). Monitoring and compliance becomes a breeze with these standard types!
Permitted file extensions give you more control over files uploaded in Profit. This is because you decide which file extensions are allowed for file items, responses to file items, documents and responses to documents. This allows you to specify, for example, that only .jpg, .png and .docx are allowed. When someone adds a new file item with an Excel extension, an error message follows. To streamline your processes even better, you can also set this by file item type. Do you want to allow only .pdf for a certain file item type? It can be done in an instant!
No more separate passwords for OutSite! Profit and InSite users logging in through the AFAS Online portal are automatically logged into OutSite. This method is only available for users logging in with email addresses and passwords on AFAS Online.
The administrator of OutSite sets this in the properties of OutSite. This login method will then apply to all OutSite users, i.e., also external OutSite users (customers). If you do not use this method, everything stays the same.
The access log has been further expanded. It is now also possible to request a logging from OutSite, Connectors and AFAS Pocket. In addition, requesting a specific logging has been made easier. For Profit, you can now retrieve the logging per screen. In addition, more things are also being logged within Profit. The administrator can request the log lines through the AFAS Online portal.
This functionality is available from June 24, 2025.
You can now call your connectors based on Oauth 2.1. This uses tokens with a limited service life. For the nerds among us: Profit supports both the Authorisation code flow and the Client credentials flow. To start using this technology, you need to create a new app connector with the right settings.
Existing app connectors continue to work, nothing changes regarding this.
